I.C.E Advice

I'm looking to upgrade the standard system, I have decided to fit an Alpine IVA D900R media station up front which I can build on as and when cash allows. I'm not sure what to do about speakers, I've got some cheap 6x9 in the doors and some next to useless 4x6 in the rear, I would like to fit a sub but I don't want to impede on storage for the targa tops, what have you guys fitted?

Sorry about the poor pic, but you get the idea.

Thanks Chunk, is that a bespoke made box? can you still store targas with that huge amp there?

Box is a proffesinal made one for the Hi-fonics sub (mate works at car electronics, Leicester)

You can get the targa's in comfortably along with a few bits for the weekend ;)

Rich :)

Built by Mrtin at PPS.

Plenty of room for the targa panels, haven't had a chance to fit the straps in yet though ;)

If you want to do it by stages, then I would have thought that decent front speakers should be the place to start - not adding a sub!

I had 6x9 replacements put in mine when I fitted my Alpine head unit. I also went for loads of sound deadening in the doors and the boot. I don't get extreme low bass, but I do get a top clear singing system and I still have all my boot space and a spare wheel!

I just had some JL speakers and a JL amp for them fitted - sounds great, and because the amp is not running a high temperature it is under the boot carpet, meaning I've still got loads of room! (Well, as much as you can get in a Z)

this is mine boot just get the roof in stood up ,but nothing for the weekend sir .Got 12" subs in now not the 8" in the photo

Wez i guess you dont rely on your spare wheel, do you just run with up front speakers in the doors and the subs in the back

Justin, cheers but i haven't decided what to do yet, but will bare it in mind
