I have just bought a 1992 jap import z and the other day I had to remove the ecu due to the dreaded knock sensor code, while I had it out I noticed that it had a plaque on the top of the unit saying "MINES" does this mean that it has been chipped and has anyone heard of this product before

cheers Eddie

Hi Eddie,

Yes it looks like it's been chipped. Do a search and the info will be plentiful ;)

Eddie I have a MINES as do a selective few other people on the board , very good bit of kit providing you fill up with optimax and your fuel system is up to scratch , tends to run a little lean so if your system is not working 100% i.e regulators etc then make sure they are , the ECU is set up to run 100Ron which is why you need optimax , anything else and the car runs like a bag of nails
