I remember a few people talking about these headlight conversion kits a while ago.

 

There are some for sale on twinturbo.net for $520+shipping. It's on a first come first serve basis.

 

My Z isn't allowed out after 6pm so I'm not interested myself.

I think enough has been said about lamps posts. When you get a 1.5t Z into a slide, there's not alot you can do about it and anything in the way tends to get demolished!!

The engine is taking a little bit longer than expected but it will be worth it. There were a lot of parts on backorder in the States and swaincoating all the parts including my exhaust manifolds also took another 4 weeks. Right now the engine is being build and we hope to finish it within 2-3 weeks.

 

At the moment I'm making special stainless steel downpipe adapters that will fit between the japanese downpipe with the 5-bolt flange and my 3" testpipes.

 

I have fitted an electric oilpump in the fender where the AIV filters used to be. This pump will be activated before I start the engine and will already buildup oilpressure to protect the engine against 'cold-starts'. When I switch the engine off then the electric oilpump activates again to cool the turbo's and the engine. This is the ultimate turbo timer!

Regarding the HID conversion...

Why would you buy the stuff in the US while they are made by Philips in Germany? I'll ask around and see if they are also available for the euro model Z because the US Zeds have a different light bulb. We have H3 bulbs and I believe the US models have a H4 bulb fitted so we may have problems fitted them in our cars...
