I am fitting 330mm AP discs and was wondering if anyone has had experience with overheating or warping.Any help would be appreciated cheers!

Warping shouldn't be a problem to be honest as long as you let the brakes cool down at the end of a run by driving gently for a few minutes smile.gif One point I would mention is that if the tie bar bushes are going, then the new stopping power will destroy them wink.gif I had this problem (I knew the bushes were going) but it got unbearable a few weeks ago when I fitted the brembos (cheerZ Johnny wink.gif). In the middle of replacing the little bastards at the moment frown.gif Not the easiest of jobs frown.gif

Cheers Andy -- No probs with bushes as rose jointed tension rods are fitted.just needed to make sure as they expensive!

I tend to be a bit hard on brakes (no idea what I do but it's wrong !) but I never got the slightest fade when I had AP 330mm disks on the Z. That was with standard calipers and Porterfield Carbon/Kevlar pads. It's a great upgrade and gives you tons more confidence.

if you're capable of warping the 330mm discs, 1) you drive like a maniac on public streets 2) improperly torque the lugs (either overtorque or uneven torque 3) spray cold water on a hot rotor to clean your wheels 4) all of the above smile.gif

If you're sensitive look away now! LOL!

Seriously, if you're running aftermarket wheels they may not be passing enough air to the caliper area to cool the discs.

Z32 OEM wheels are designed by Nelson to channel air to the discs for cooling.

You can purchase piping and create brake ducts to direct air to the brakes. Just run the pipes by the radiator opening and funnel them back. If you look at NASCAR vehicles they have the same setup with 2-3 pipes.

so mr gotrice? what size are these rotars you are selling 330mm?

One SMALL point that may piss you off - 330mm rotors won't fit under standard wheels!!! biggrin.gif So cooling effect or no cooling effect - you still can't use em biggrin.gif
