I'm going to replace my standard exhaust system with a stainless steel sports jobbie sometime next year. 1st choice at the moment is a Magnex one (twin 3" pipes each side). I'm looking for an increase in the "base" at idle and a nice howl when I put my foot down (but nothing too OTT).

Mines a Jap import TT auto (1990).

Anyone got any recommendations?

Be very wary of aftermarket exhausts as some come with 50% missing and this can greatly affect weight distribution and thus handling, especially when going round Silverstone.

if twin pipes each side is the look you are going for, then also consider Mongoose and Skorpion.

 

a lot of us have Mongoose, well made, lifetime guarantee, full stainless etc.
