Anyone got any ideas on this, A friend oiled something under the bonnet to do with the throttle bodies? but unfortunately it hasnt cleared it. Basically sometimes in the morning there is resistance on the pedal and you push firmly and it clicks and goes. Between gear changes the throttle sometimes stays open and at sets of lights again pedal is stiff, and a firm push to click before IT moves.

Any ideas gratefully recieved.

best for some one to have a look at the throttle cable while another person presses the cable down a few times. Hopfully you will see where it is sticking.

Take the cover off the top of the engine and see if they wires are connected firmly in place.

Sounds like the cable has probably frayed and is sticking in the outer - only way to cure this, replace...

Cheers people, Andy you say on the outer - is there any way of verifying or should I just replace cable.

SRAEE, do I get someone to press pedal down while I watch top of engine / throttle bodies

Ta

Get some one sitting in the car keep pressing the accelerator up and down and ahve some one looking at the cables while you are doing it. You have a better chance at seeing where its catching. It is probably what Andy said.

All looks ok under the bonnet - must be where the pedal is - I'll have a quick squiz this weekend when its warmer and lighter
