HI, I have a 1994,tt,import,300zx. I am 26 with 7 years nc bonus and have a clean driving licence. The best quote i have had so far is £727 comprehensive.

This seems very expensive to me, anyone paying less than this? If so please could you give me the name and phone number of the insurance company.

Got about 20 years on you, but when I was looking a thread on the forum said to try Houghton on 01582 867763 - say you're a member of the 300ZX club and you'll get a discount. Search the forum for Houghton to see what other people have done.

Guys I am in negotiations with houghton insurance about a club deal!

 

I suggest Jodie you join because they will ask you for a membership number!

This number will checked against the membership number list and if it does not marry then your insurance will be cancelled, with the associated costs of that. I doubt if they will want to reinsure someone who gives out false information as well.

My insurance policy expires with A Plan Thatcham at the end of March and costs me £795 per year I will deffo give Houghton a call now I am a member.

By the way do they make much of a price increase for fairly modified Zeds ???

I wasn't that impressed with Houghton's quote of £763 as a member. I told the guy every modification done to my car I think I'll will stay with A plan Thatcham , cant be bothered with swapping no claims bulls**t over etc etc for the sake of a few quid. Especially being 37yrs old with a clean licence.

Strike that - they just gave me the most stupid quote of anyone! - over £1600 FFS!

They don't do much of a deal on Manchester Postcodes! (their explanation). I know city addresses are dearer but that is just taking the P1SS!

 

So far I have a quote of £950 From Osborne and Sons (0845 330 6001) if anyone's interested.
