Engine Temp Sensor

Hi All,

 

My tempature guage is not working.

Am woundering how to take off the engine temp sensor, it looks like it need a spanner to take it off. Is it simple as that? So I can give it a clean.

    Yep, its that simple. But be careful not to damage the connector. You may not need a new sensor, cleaning the contacts on the sensor and the connector may bring it back to life.

    Erm - the reading your dash gets is not from the big yellow sensor - thats for the ECU - the one I assume you want is the little black connector right next to it....

    Thanks very much for that info guys. I think I need the little black one cleaned up. Atleast I have ConZult to keep an eye on my temp :)
