clicking creaking

Anyone have any ideas?

When im coming to a halt there's a clicking creaking noise from the O/S front wheel area, when brakes are pressed. Only happens going forwards and only when the cars warmed up a bit.

Had it on a 4poster lift today and all the joints are sound - no play .

Brake pads are half worn - loads of meat left.

Anyone had the same prob?
