Best way to remove stubborn sticky pads?

I removed the mudguards off my Jap spec last week and have been left with thick sticky pads on the rear bumpers. What's the best way to get rid of them without damaging the paintwork? They're stubborn ****ers.

    Borrow some of the missus' nail varnish remover and a quick wipe on a soft cloth, followed by soapy water should rid those marks in an instant :cool: :hyper:
