to reset the ecu do you turn the screw on it and back after 3 seconds

or do you have to disconect the battery for a few hours

or do both

also what sort of boost is safty boost (preasure) ?

Safety boost is 7psi.

 

You disconnect the battery for at least an hour to reset it.

 

Turning the ECU screw one way wait 2 seconds then turn it back puts the ECU into diagnostic mode.

Agree with srrae, turbo gauge won't go over half way

on + side when in s'boost.

Turn screw again for 2secs to take out of diagnostic mode. :)

By "reset the ECU" do you mean "clear the fault codes" or do you mean "reset it so it relearns everything".

 

For the former you just need to put the ECU in diagnostic mode and then return it to running mode. For the latter you need to disconnect the power for a while.

If you disconect the battery, then place you foot on the brake pedal for about 30-40 sec's then that will drain all the electric left in the system (save waiting an hour or so) the re-connect and go for a long drive so that the system re-sets it self....this is how i was shown :D
