Does anyone else get what look like finger print marks on their metallic paint when it's freshly polished?

The last few times I have given it a proper clean & wax, when the sun hits it at certain angles they seem to appear. When you get right up close you can't see them.

I have tried T-cut metallic to remove them but this doesn't help. Just wondered if its my paint in particular or a general trait of the metallic black Nissan colour.

A mate of mine has m'black z, his does the same sort

of thing. Black is probably the hardest colour to polish,

all the white dust etc....

Have you tried using cutting polish?

Or maybe some of that colour polish?

D'you know anybody who does valeting, they'll

have a ''mop'' (like an angle grinder with a polishing pad),

that together with some cutting polish should sort it for you. ;)

i used to get this on my gti-r, I found this to be bird s**t thats been left on the body for to long and it burns the laquer. really impossible to remove!

Yep, fraid you'll have to get a proper re-polish done to fix it.

hi mate, i'm new to the z scene. been inspired to buy one by a mate of mine. he has a dark blue one. he uses silicone based polish. you can use it on wet paint, it leaves no white residue or marks. should be picking up a swb tt this week. can't wait.

Can't go wrong with Autoglym folowed by extra gloss finish. Those finger marks will be a thing of the past AND you'll have a ultra shiny car to boot!!

get a mate in autoglym ... have special polish for black or new cars ... couln't believe it until i done it ... very little cut so it does not go streaky or swirly

Nice :)
