got a Toad AI606 on mine, give remote central locking, courtesy lights on when you unlock, auto door locking/unlocking with engine start/stop etc, seems pretty good.

does the toad A1600/A1606 allow you to fit a turbo timer into the system?? Also how much would i be looking at to get a toad alarm fitted. Is it cat1???

Mine was on the car when I bought it, mines also an N/A, so dont know about the turbo timer.

John

i fitted a CAT1 Scorpion with full closure. but then i did get it free!!! :D

Post on Safe & Sound section of the trader forum - I'm sure Bob will guide you in the right direction.

recently had a Avital 4400 (clifford) fitted

comes with turbo timer combined/pager/remote start/window closure/valet mode/temp control (will start car if set when temp drops below zero or required temp but alarm still active)/panic mode/anti hihack

plus loads of other toys, the total fitted was £450, but take away some of the above and the price drops, and don't forget if the insurance know you have remote start its suss on your insurance

i have a toad fitted to another car and excellent alarm also,

but not got turbo on that, so not sure about turbo timer

  • 2 weeks later...

meant to add, I also have a turbo timer on the system, works fine with the alarm as far as I can see

Iv got a clifford 600 with turbo timer built in!!!

The alarm is one of the best with loads of security features but beware if not fitted by a pro, IT WILL GO WRONG!!!

Clifford have 2 common faults that will happen whoever fits it. I don`t like Clifford, unless you have the wireless fuleguard fitted as standard or an option they are one of the easiest to bypass. For obvious reasons i won`t post why!!

I have to agree with bob there, i have a 600 and have had nothing but problems with it, now on the second unit as the first keept imobileizing the car, i had to bypass it myself as the fitters that fitted it said it would be about 2-3 months to send someone out to do it and the other fitters in my area would not touch it! And as bob said it was 'Very Easy' to bypass, as well as the wireless fuel gard.

i cant blame any fitter for not touching an alarm someone else has installed,

and whoever fitted it and said it would be a couple of months to sort

wants their arses kicking,

my last 3 alarms have been fitted by a guy from down south, even though i'm in the north, ABSOLUTE TOP SERVICE,

so if anyone is in the south wants to get in touch with them, i'd recommend

them to anyone

Hi,

Got to agree Clifford are cwap, a mate of mine works at Heathrow securty and he has videotapes of how the crims bypass the alarm. Won't tell you how but it is so easy a kid could and does do it!

Some1 please PM me and tell me how they can be bypassed, as im starting to wonder iv spent money on an alarm, and its still vunreable!!!

Some1 let me know Please!!!

Same here I have the Clifford Concept 300 (G4), I am starting to worry :(

Hello is any1 out there

Can some1 please tell me what technical faults they have and why they are so easy to get into!!!

BILLYNOMATES!!!!!

where did you get you alarm from. you seenm to have got a lot of things for the price. Is it insurance approved. cheers.

also i heard if you have engine start it invaidates your catergory approved alarm

the guy is based in northampton m8, but does travel the country

yes i think the remote start is a grey area, but who's gonna tell 'um lol

IF anyone did manage to get in the car, as it stays locked, the minute a pedal is touched it cuts the engine, if the key is not inserted

and you will get a certificate

i can post the phone number, but i don't want to be treading on anyones toes?? then you can ring them for options

i have a camera down my drive way, and the remote start/panic bit is just the job for stray cats etc lol

could you email me the number and name on rc951@yahoo.com. would really appreciate it. need to get a decent alarm.! cheers.

p.s. i hope you dont mind me asking for the guys number!
