Evening all,

ย

Just been changing my discs and calipers, but when it came to undoing the joint where the rear brake line joins the hardpipe I got a little stuck, it si difficult to get any spanner in there and the space is restrictive to getting any force on it. Any ideas??

Hi Jock,

I changed these last year using a normal split-end brake line spanner. However it was _really_ tight, and had loads of brake fluid all over my hand / drive way by the time I'd finished. (Having to turn the nut one facet at a time!)

Getting my braided hoses on was no easier either!

Hi Jock

ย

I spent all day yesterday fitting braided hoses to the rears - fronts is next saturday.

ย

These two fittings were VERY difficult to undo but as long as you use plenty of releasing agent and go easy you'll get there. I believe they are 10 mm.

ย

I lost my temper with the fitting on the other end of the rubber hose and f*cked it as well as my nuckles :D I had to get a local spares shop to make up a new piece to connect to the caliper housing. ยฃ5 and four band-aids later it's all sorted.

ย

I also fitted a Cusco brace to the master cylinder - the difference is amazing !! Highly recommend it !

ย

Good luck..
