Right, thought it was about time I organised an event for the Midlands (all area's feel free to attend of course!!) ;)

Place: The Boat Inn, Solihull, Birmingham (5 minutes from the NEC/M42)

Time: Midday onwards

If people want me to organise lunch etc, I need to know about 1-2 weeks in advance of numbers wishing to attend so I can sort tables etc......or we could just go in and swamp the place (obviously depending on numbers attending!! LOL) We have had events at this venue before so I'm sure we will be welcome back!! ;)

Leave your name on this thread if your interested, I'll start;

1. Matty.

I'll pray from now for good weather!!

Matty.

I dont know what times yet. I'll have to have a word with the gf and find out what time to meet up. What time does the meet begin? We all need to meet at the hobby horse about an hour before the meet I suppose. I can meet you 2 guy's there if you want. Never been down that way only up A46. Can you get into the carpark from the roundabout?

Ivan

The meet starts about 12noon (ish) so I'll see you and anyone else in the Hobby Horse Pub car-park about 11.00-11.15am. Coming from Notts/ Melton on the A46: When you get to the roundabout, take your first exit (left) and then bear right at the next smaller roundabout. This will take you into the car park.

The place looks fairly easy to get to, so we should be there in about 30-45mins (MAX).

Cheers

Chris (Bruiser) :duffer:

Chris, your motor sounds sweet!

I need to cough me dough up so I can get some pics of mine up on here!

You know the rear spolier blank? Where'd u get it from? Was it an easy job? Really wanna take mine off, they ming!!!

Sorry bud, I brought the car with this blank already fitted. I know COS was after one of these too.

I know Jeff at WORLD OF Z (Z-E-D-W-O-R-L-D) in Tamworth can get (and fit) these. Give him a call....

Definitely worth replacing this spoiler, looks much more sleek and classier..

Cheers

Bruiser :)

****Update****

The boat Inn know we are all coming to visit them this weekend and are prepared. If people wish to eat they will have to go book themselves tables when they want food as they will NOT let us pre-book any tables as I couldn't be sure how many people would be at this meet, stragglers, add-ons etc..... ;)

I have asked for part of the car park to be sectioned off for us lot but I'm awaiting confirmation on this, I'll let you know as soon as I find out. :)

Matty.

Do you have to have a dodgy accent to attend this or are southerners allowd :D.

I'll be heading up north on the Saturday so I will pop in.

Chris (bruiser) do you need the hoses before this meet or shall I bring them up with me ? (I was hoping to come up this week, but the other Z is not ready for collection yet). Sowill be going up the following weekend instead.

Let's face it you can't get ANY worser accent than brummie surely!!!! I done some contract work at Austin-Rover (Longbridge) over 10 years ago and what a sh**hole that place really was (and still is!!). I was there for 9 months solid and nearly topped myself having to listen to the brummie drawl all day, every day!! :nelson:

Cockney has to be next worse accent though.... :D

Sorry Em's X ;) :smw:

I'll be there, rest assured. The Leicester posse will be there in force!!!

I'll just bring my modified stephen hawkins style voice box translators that I'll attach to any of the "orwright" fraternity, thus changing the tone to something resembling the daleks (still better than listening to brummie though)

:p

*********************CANCELLED********************

Sorry folks due to unforseen work commitments I am cancelling this event and moving it to the 4th April.

If anyone has a problem with this and would like the event to still go ahead they are more than welcome to take over (TBH it's all sorted and all you guys have to do is turn up!! LOL) but as Midlands Rep I would like ot move it to 4th April.

Please? ;)

First and last time I will be caught by work on a weekend for some oversea's graft....:(

Matty.

No worries Fella, i might be a bit better by then.

Rich:D

Pity that as I was hoping to come along. Currently covering Sunday's as noone else is trained up. :( Have to get that changed and soon. Maybe next time,

Simon ;)

If there are a few that still want to go, Matty has aranged it with the Pub, I'll still be up for it, but will only stay for an hour or two.

Suggestions????

Rich:D

Good idea Rich. Hell, people could always do both! :p I'm a lucky b*stard though and live literally 5mins down the road so if any of you guys coming from farther afield still want to do this that's cool, it's your shout...but no worries otherwise...there's always Billing! :D
