I had a brown 1 litre metro that my gran gave to my sister and my sister gave to me.

I remeber touching a tiny spot of rust that had appeared on the front wing and a huge piece the size of a squash raquet head fell off as it was all rusty and poxed.

My neighbours broke into it and moved it 200 yards up the road as they said I was in their parking space. I used pliers to turn it on and off after that, as they knackered the ignition switch.

Bizarrely it handled well.

I think I had the worst car "Datsun Sunny 14GL" 1982 Gold.

Only good thing was it did around 85 miles to £5 of petrol.

Have pictures, but I am sure you lot do not want to see them

Then a Mk2 Supra - handpainted in black hammerite :)

Oh man........If I had the money and be able to find it, I'd buy it!!

Hammerite is a wondeful thing..........

I had a Fiat 155......sport........black thing, sporty, quickly fell apart......

Then I had an Escort 'Encore', cracking motor.....

awesome car.........at the time!

Hi all

Following my post about driving my dad's old 127, I try to forget it, but the worst car I ever owned was a J reg Scorpio 2.0 twin cam. It may have been less than a year old at the time, but in the 5 months I owned it, it lived in the Ford garage for 4 of them.

Soooooo unreliable. Bloody slow too, I only bought one coz they always looked smart (we're talking 12 years ago, LOL) and were comfortable with loads of electric gizmos.

The AA got to know me personally over that time ;)

Richard :slap:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

 I had a Daf 66 variomatic. It had elastic bands to drive the back wheels. It could go as fast backwards as forwards, I think that takes some beating.

  • 3 weeks later...

Just bought a golf 1.6 CL. GTi replica F reg 1988..........for £20

Coz I know the Z will be off the road soon havin tubs done.

Only failed MOT on headlight adjustment, wingmirror missing tiny tiny welding oh and the worst...it had been lowered in the past, good few years ago I recon and the front passange spring snaped!

But should have 12 months motty next weekend.

Stands me at about 100 quid..

But had a Lada once and owned 2 capri's..like to think I moved on a bit now owning a Z, Porsche 911, Honda Type V accord and the Golf GTi repi...will maybe the Golf lets me down a bit :~)

I had an Austin A35 years & years ago!

One day I was washing this A35 (cost £50) when a person called Al-Fayed came passed, stopped next to me to bid me a good day, then drove off for the weekend.

He was in a massive white American Continental or Cadilac, chauffeur driven of course. His Farrari Dino had been driven back to London the week before!

And yes his father at that time did OWN several banks!
