As I trust the people on here is there anyone who can give me any information on World of Cars (http://www.wocltd.net) in Birmingham. The web site looks slick, but I have this nagging feeling it used to be called something else and has 'changed hands'. I havn't been there, just wondered if anyone knew what they were like. Matty, you seem to have the info on Brum dealers, do you know about them?

I'd like to tell everyone to;

AVOID THIS DEALER!!!

Same gravel drive, same factory next to it.........how do these guys actually think they can just change the name, jazz up the website and think they can just carry on!!

This kind of thing bakes my noodle, just take a look at the state of the Z's for sale....in need of TLC and probably an engine re-build 10 minutes after you leave the garage. Someone has actually brought a K Reg, red Z.........no doubt it won't be long until they find this site and realise what a mistake they have made after posting up 'My Car Has Died' thread.........

And the picture of the garage on their site they must have taken from some other site as they are very much a 'tin-pot' operation and seriously should not be selling cars at all, nevermind having the know how to fix them!!

• Cars purchased to order

• 100% Finance Guaranteed - 21.9% APR....... :(

• Upholster alloy-wheels

• Our competitors try to emulate - Would you admit to being that bad??

• OPEN 7 DAYS

• 12 months MOT insurance - On an unroadworthy car? :(

• 12 months key protection - ???

• 12 months tyre insurance - impossible......

• 12 months recover - I'm guessing you WILL need this...

• 12 months parts & labour warranty - If they have not 'nicked' the warrenty books you still may not be able to make a claim.......

I have a feeling if they were to see this post they would not be able to defend themselves.

Under new management? No.....same bloke, same cars, same problems, same dealer

AVOID THEM

Matty.

NB - I would like to point out that this is my opinion and my opinion only and not that of this bulletin board. So any action legal or otherwise please contact me via my email address from this site........:)

Cheers- thought so! Birmingham seems to be some kind of cosmic nexus that attracts dodgy imports.

Matty, did u buy from them before then?

How do u know this guy?

(is that a variant spelling of 'chamber of commerce' on the home page)

Should we have some sticky for suspect dealers? Nothing too incriminating just "300zx.co.uk strongly suggest from past buyers experience that you get the AA / RAC to count the wheels on anything you buy from..."

If we did I'd like to add D McMinn of Hemel Hempstead

Hi Barry

What's the prob with McMinn?

When I was looking for a Zed, he had a couple I planned to view but I never got there as I found the one I have elsewhere first.

Richard

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Anyway....

.....forgot to say to Rich, do as Matty says. Avoid dealers from Brum at all costs :mac1:

I remember one called Allied Cars. I drove 100 miles up the M40 to see a met.blue Zed which I was told was in "excellent contition". When I got there it was total 5hite. Paintwork cleaned with wire-wool judging by the scratches, leather cracked and ripped etc etc. Not just a 1-off either, I looked around their premises and all the cars were pants. A55holes wouldn't take no for an answer either, I tried to walk away but the salesman was sooo persistent and desperate to sell a car that he blocked my exit. I had to force him out of my way (then drove away like feck coz there were 2 baboons in the workshop that looked less than pleasant :D )

I've not brought from them but I did go to view one there, it was a Silver TT, import and was a rough as they come, I pulled off from an island, planted my foot and heard what I can only desribe as metal on metal.......

"Oh that's just the turbo's kicking in" he said........if they were the turbo's I'm running now..........I did and never brought from there.....

But other people have and been horror stories (I can't remember who they are!!) and I would avoid 'Dealers' that continually change the name of the garage or sell dodgy, over priced death traps...(NB That's my opinion, not the boards :) )

In a nutshell, avoid Nottingham and Leeds (Veilside.co.uk in Leeds and Sahill Motors in Nottigham, who I dealt with and lost money, search on here and the Lancer forum ;) )

And avoid Birmingham too.......

Any qauestions anyone has about my experience or anything dodgy trader realted I'll be more than happy to discuss via email.

Matty.

Allied cars...I know. I work just down the road from there. Another is 'Fair Deal Motors' just along from my work. They are not very pleasant. Haven't looked at the cars properly, the bad vibes I got off the blokes were enough to scare me off.

I DID manage to find a good dealer in Bristol (Car Imports Direct) so I know they do exist. Some places manage to get decent cars and sell for a decent price and make a living.

Richard - OK minor really but;

1. MOT suspect, done in their own bay, missed off things like - wipers perished, number plate bulbs blown, OSR wheel bearing shot, rear pads on metal

2. Car not prepped for delivery / sale - unclean in need of a hoover

3. Pointless warranty £500 max cover, nothing on turbos or auto boxes

There is a little bit more but not in a public forum.

Having said that I've bought a TT, in the colour I wanted with leather. I've since spent about £800 in service items and replacements bits that strictly I didn't need to do, but I now have a car that I have confidence in - all for less than £4,600.

Matty is no longer on here, hes got a rover coupe now!!!!

Sahill in Nottingham nearly screwed me out of £4k. Young indian fella calling himself James or Andy or some other similar english name, trading as gold imports amongst others.

yep he's the one, i do know him very dodgy fella stay away, users the name james beer wont give out to much info

Different area but I remember going to a guy in slough who advertised 'an excellent condition Zed, best condition I've seen, and I've seen a few son!'. I travelled several hundred miles in all and it was in his drive with a few other dodgy looking cars. It was the biggest heap I've ever seen even to this day. Rusted to bits, terrible. I think he was called platinum cars or something. There seems to be a few dealers with similar names, he was an asian bloke, a complete liar full of BS. Me and my mate nearly filled him in for being such an ars*hole.

Yes there is a place in Slough called Platinum Auto's, they generally have a selection of sport's stuff, not overly surprised they would try to sell something in such poor condition and waste your time as I have met these guys and find them quite cocky and arrogant to deal with!! BTW was his name Jay?

I can give out more information, the last known address i had on him was lynette close by the porsche garage in nottingham, which is where i called him from and gave him the choice of having the car left in his front room or meet me and give me my money back, he wisely refunded me.

I have been to see this guy as well. He had a Black Z and a Blue Z on his drive. I went for a test drive in the black one and the brakes were grinding and he kicked it down a gear and said "can you feel that, thats the turbo kicking in" yet the boost needle bareley moved. After I said no to those cares he then went a few blocks away and came back with some more rubbish. He also sells on ebay Reje or something like that. BEWARE

bugger i gotta check where mine came from now... i know where i got my car was dodgy as a duck.... lol

but will check my car papper work.. and i dont reccomend them.. but wont be too long.. then will post another post to say where it came.. they are rip off artists..

found my papper work...

they are called TMC in bradford... and I would stay clear of them!!!!

these guys are just liars too.....

before I bought my zed from a forum member, I went everywhere in search of my Zed, I phoned these guys and they said they had an immaculate ZXTT in red with 19" volk alloys, blah, blah, blah......

I went to see it and it was crap, the wheels were not Volk alloys although he did have a black Zed with volk alloys on !!, paintwork looked like it had been cleaned with wire brush.

The front aftermarket bumper had a piece broken on the front, they said that they did it when it was being unloaded from the transporter outside their shop and they would fix it like new........ but I saw this car on another importers website with the exact same piece broken on the bumper and it was still in Japan.

Also they said it had 66K on the clock but it was reading 130,000KM which is a lot more than 66K miles.

Best car I will find they said......... whatever......!!

I was advised my the nice man from East Calder in Scotland ( I looked at one there too ) to keep well clear of the car importers in Brum, they are cowboys !!

BE WARNED.........!!

have any of you had dealings with keightly trade centre.......went looking at a few supras there last weekend and although some were ok alarm bells were ringing on certain claims in their trader adverts

guys,

have a chat with xav2075

he had a Zed imported by a company and form i have seen of the car and the way it drove its a minter

think he was very impressed with the service he got, not sure on the company name though.

thats his home addy did you actually buy a zed off him ?? well as far as i know hes ripped off numorous people he buys/sells imports mostly 3000 gto 300zx etc most of them are worst examples you can find.

Yes i bought one from him a blue one reg F217 UJN he gave me a 3 year warranty with warranty holdings on hooky paparwork, The auto box blew, the car shook like fook over 40mph, warranty holdings had never heard of him I bought it from a unit in the rough bit of Nottingham, i was daft and naieve, the car was even registered as red FFS!!!

Luckily i payed by building society cheque so i had a name, so i got a "contact" of mine to check the electoral register for all the sahills in Nottingham when i arrived at Lynette close to find imports everywhere i knew i had my man.

He wisely paid up, just as well cos if he hadnt id of put it through his window
