GREDDY PROFEC e-01

I know some of you have these fitted already and I'm seriously considering one, but I'm after some idea of how cool the install can be. I've seen one that was just stuck onto the dashboard with the remote control dangling around off it - handy if you have to park somewhere where it might get nicked , but i really wanted a tidier 'installed' kind of a look.

So get posting those pickies you guys (or links if you like!)

Thanks in advance!

that would be mine then

Er, no offence Scoops, but er , yes, could be yours, but then again, it was you that stopped me from getting an Apexi fitted until I did a little more research.

It has to be said, that the e-01 doesn't lend itself to a nice clean install. John D's above isn't bad - I like the idea of the remote mount (but it's a shame you can't hide it inside the ashtray) But lets faceit, the screen on a bracket standing off the top of the dash looks just a bit naff to me.

I'd be intersted to know if you two guys are still happy with the unit though - any regrets on buying one??

No regrets with it at all.

One slight annoyance is that it does take about 15s to boot up, but never really a hassle as far as I'm concerned.

I know the dash mount isn't ideal. That sort of thing dosen't bother me much though.

and can you drive off while it's booting or do you have to wait to turn the ignition?

No, you can drive off.

It actually reboots when you start the engine as the starter drops the voltage in the system enough to kill it again.

I generally let the engine idle a little bit before driving off anyway, so I don't really think that would be a problem!

True, I rarely get to drive off straight away either (as I have to back out onto a busy road for a starter, but thanks for the posts guys.
