cheers il take a look.

cheers guys.

The Altezza's look cool, anyone got a picture of a zed with them fitted??

mmm, nice, don't suppose you'd know if they're street legal in the uk, would you Steve?

and it's nice that they're cheaper on the web site than they are on Ebay!

i supose they are

as long as they have normal all lights

you might need a reflecter

steve

What about indicators - theyre American style red!!!

But I agree they are the nearest I've seen to what I really want.

Geoff.

Yep, agree here Geoff. These lights were posted about on here last week , and I said then that they will only indicate in red, and as far as I know, that wont pass an MOT for u. If you had a Yank tank as ur drive with red as standard, then ur ok, but not changing them for red from yellow. If all that makes sense :D

And apart from that, I think they are fvkin horrible :x:

Have been experimenting with the rear lights over the past year. Just can't seem to get them both finished.

Please let me know what you think. Good or bad!

You said good or bad, honestly sorry Cos, but they arnt for me. I do like the '99 spec lights. It's probably the reflector being there that spoils it. Depends wot it looks like on a z

Dave

Hi all

I posted the link to these back in November, (on the P C P site). They got a mixed reaction then because no-one new how they would actually look, but it is good to see them on a car at last. They don't look too bad ;)

Though personally, I think the solid red should be the outer light and the red/white light, the inner. That would look way better IMO

With regard to the question about indicators, since you would keep the stock reverse lights, why not convert the white centre ones to indicators with orange bulbs. :D

Then again, they may come with this set-up anyway?

Richard :smw:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I wish someone could come up with a design similar to the Skyline. I'd asked Luke from the Z Centre and he said he was happy with the sales of the led round ones (Viper) and has no intention of working on anything else. Shame!!!

Geoff.

No probs Dave,

but I think you may have missed my point. Look at a standard Z rear light, whether it be a 99 spec one or not, and then look at mine. There is a slight difference. Can you see what it is?

Here are both 90 spec and 99 spec.

How about this - looks to be from a Lexus GS300!!! Amazing what some people are doing!!!

Geoff.

Yep - saw this last year. Wouldn't mind getting a close up in the flesh to see the quality.

Yes Cos i can see the diff with urs, and tbh, I do like the idea of an all clear rear, as it would blend well with the clear revers lamps. Like I said, it may look better on a Z, and without the reflector.

And btw, wen funds permit, I'm defo in for an head lamp upgrade :)

Dave

Dave, accepting your point about the views expressed being personal - and the fact that you have posted a pic of your Pink car, so we know just where you are coming from in the taste charts!!!

I have to agree fully with Geoff, the Skyline look is what the 300 have been crying out for - the horizontal slatty thing is about the most dated looking thing on the car.

Now the problem is that the light panel on a zed is just 6 inches or so high and a skyline round light is around 6 inches too (or so I'm told). This means that you can't put a skyline light on a 300 without seriously modifying the panel below the lights and then custom building a new light panel.

Top me, this would all be worth it, if I could just find someone that could do it!

and Geoff, if you do find the real gear, let me know and at least we can split the 'development' cost two ways!

Cheers Nigel, I like that

Well thanks Nigel on that one - I'll make some enquiries. If more guys were committed to finding a Skyline look it would be easier. I'm going to put a separate thread on the issue.
