I have done a search on this and what I have found seems to be very vague.

I really don't want my new pride and joy rusting with all this salt on the road so I really need to know if they are undersealed or not.

My mum bought an FTO once and was told that it was as automatic a thing to do with imports as sticking a fog light on.

Does anyone know for certain?

Thanks,

Justin:)

All 300`s from Japan are undersealed like the UK spec, it does not hurt to check for sealant damage or scraps though and make good if required. Pay particular attention to the inner sills and where the sill meets the rear wheel arch, this is where most UK cars suffer from corrossion so it would seem likely Jap spec cars will also eventually

Like Jeff said, the area he pointed out is definitely a good one and then the front of the car, particularly the chassis rails, cross member etc, but you cant see so much at the front because of everything in the way but if it was stripped you would find quite a bit bearing in mind the age.The import versus uk thing doesnt seem to hold water as I have seen a few with no difference in quality of protection, unless others know different?
