Disconnected my Hicas at the RR day (thanks Mr Dixon) well what a difference the car is now stable at slow and high speeds , corners can be taken with the confidence that you will come out the other side , it's also really easy to get the back end out and hold it there without having to fight the steering wheel , without a doubt my best mod yet :D

will take a picture for you tonight mate , light should come on although mine has no bulb  only takes two seconds to do aswell :D

Do you think this might be a reason why my car was a pig to control? Therefore leading to it's demise?

It seems a bit convienent that the HICAS light came on only a few weekends before only on a long straight!!

Just a thought...

Give me yours...

Ben

If the HICAS light comes on after driving in a straight line for a while it's usually because the steering wheel is off centre.

I've never had any gripes about HICAS.....
Bilky is yours an import or UK , I think this will affect the imports due to the speedo conversions , I have had the speedo conversion done but according to the Conzult, the ECU is still reading the speeds completely differently from the actual speeds being done , this will throw your HICAS off i.e I am doing 100mph and the ECU thinks I am doing 60 , make sense ???

Mines an import but the speedo hasnt been tampered with - it had a mph conversion sticker over the face....Maybe thats why its behaving...Yes - makes perfect sense - You could get a uk speedo to sort t out...

I did put UK clocks on mine and I still hated it.

Guess it depends on your driving style etc. too.

UK car but I don't really notice it... Always corners like it's on rails so maybe I would miss it if it wasn't there..
