gluggy sounds

Hi All,

I seem to be getting strange glug glug sounds coming from the wheels arch areas, I removed the AIV's a few months ago hoping to solve the problem but have had no luck. I can only assume that it must be oil related. Would a shot oil pump create these glugging sounds?

cheers

Jim

That sounds quite weared. I have never heared of glug glug noises from the wheel well areas. Check your shocks and make sure they are not leaking fluid.

I had this a few years ago and I think that it was related to aircon filters. Try turning your aircon off and see if the noise stops..

I don't think it can be the shocks, it occurs when the car is stationary and definately sounds as if its engine related. I can roughly trace it to the sump area.

Are the aircon filters difficult to replace/expensive?

They weren't hugely expensive Jim. Not sure about the difficulty as it was done by my main dealer.. Like I said this was a while back on my first Zed (about 9 years ago  !)
