My car isn't the nicest one around, its pretty stock, I have however spent a lot of money getting the bodywork pretty much mint in time for a new spoiler and a few other mods,

 

Park up today and to my horror see a massive dent in the front wing, no idea how it got there and noone has owned up to it, will probably need the wing replacing. Not happy at all, I'm in the process of stepping up the property ladder and this is making me consider repairing and selling,

 

Why can't people own up to this? its their fault not mine, now I have to pay for their damn mistake :(

Mike where was it parked? send me a pic if it's not too bad I can get it repaired for cost;)

I bet most drivers dont realised they have hit or scraped another car.

 

I have a Corsa as my daily driver and the bumper has been ripped off on one side. It is deffinatly because some one has bumped it as it had ripped a part of the bumper which screws it down. :mad:

Mac: I'll drop you a photo, I think its repairable and if it is it probably won't be worth the petrol to get up north, much apreciated though buddy ;) I might be dropping you a revised list tonight and get it knocked in with that work

Hard luck mike, nothing worse than someone doing this then fookin off.

Car parks are nitemares tho arent they , ppl getting out and banging their door straight into the side of your car or worse driving into it!

Best to avoid them like the plague !

That is you though, not all people are in the know when they are touching another car. If they are just grazing it, most people wont realise and probably just carry on.

I watched a woman reverse into a parking space and rubbed the front bumper of the car already parked as she did it. The rub started at her back bumper all down the back quarter panel, by this time the rub turned into a big dent by the time the "rub" reached the back door she had damaged it beyond repair and her passenger door was a write off too by the time she finished.

 

I cant believe she didnt realise. She got out of her car and walked off not realising she has probably done £3000 of damage to her car. Lucky she did it on the bull bar of a landrover so no damage there.

 

I should have said something but I was too busy laughing at her.

:( Sorry to hear this. Can't believe some people don't know / don't leave their name & address when they damage something.

 

Probably looked at the car, thought it would be too expensive to own up and legged it. :( Hope you can get it repaired for reasonable rates.

I think I know who did it but I can't get them to admit it, I'm going to report the incident to the police and next payday look into getting her repaired, maybe with a new front bumper.

are the wings just bolt on on a zed? may be worth getting a 2nd hand one from andyz

Most people probably think our cars cost a fortune and are afraid they'd have to sell their kidneys to pay for the damage, either that or lose their precious no claims discount! :rolleyes:

They are bolted and sealed,

But the seal on the panel is probably not very stong after 14 years so shouldn't be too difficult to replace.

 

In my car it is as the side skirts are blended so it's a big job :(

I've had both rear wings resprayed, the rear tailgate, both sills 1/2 of both the doors (for blending)

Here's another good one...

 

Three times now I have come back to my daily driver to find my driver's mirror knocked. The first two occasions I ignored it, these things happen, but this time there's a scratch too.

 

Now this is the really silly bit...

 

The layout of the car park is such that the only way you would ever be near that is if parking in the bay next to me.

 

A specific person is allocated to each bay.

 

We have a spreadsheet with all the bay allocations in.

 

The car that parks in the offending spot has been there before me and gone after me on said occasions.

 

And yet the owner of the bay hasn't mentioned it. How stupid is that? Just a "sorry, knocked your mirror, it'd help if you folded 'em" or whatever would do.

 

The third occasion was this evening so we'll see what she says tomorrow morning when I politely drop it into conversation eh?
