yes go for a U.K.

all U.K. are 2+2 and Twin Turbo'ed

finding a manual one with leather interior like i wanted took me 3months

and i bought the first one i saw which took me half way down the country

good luck m8 :D

No-one can tell you what to get, but I'll try and give you some pointers :)

Some choices,

Long wheel base (2+2) - Right, main advantage its got 2 extra seats in the back, ablait rather small. OK if youve got small kids, but only 2 of them, but uncomfortable for adults on long trips.

Short wheel base - Main advantage, suposidly, faster than the 2+2. Sorry that was the only thing I could come up with, lol.

Non-Turbo - Cheaper to insure, but slower than the turbo. Probably more economical on fuel.

Twin Turbo (my personal choice  ) - The dogs knackers :D ----Nuff said!!!

Automatic - Smoother, less left arm strain, lol. Lazy mans/womans car.

Manual - A genuine racing persons choice, as you decide when you change up or down.

Colour - Not getting into this one

Basically, you pays your money, and you takes your choice. It's personal preferance. Insurance wise, I would say that a UK, Non-Turbo manual would be cheepest, but then I went for the exact opposit of that :D

*EDIT* ^^^^Spot the mistake, you cant get a UK Non-Turbo....opssssss :x: :xxx:

Hope thats of some help to you.

Dave

i u have a look in the links section theres some good reviews and write ups,

jap spec seem to be cheap at the moment and tend to be low mileage clean cars, theres quite a few in the forsale section from forum members which cant be a bad start, all uk are twin turbo, if its a na its a import for sure, as is the short wheel base, for out and out fun a swb twin turbo manual would be best but they will demend a high price as they're quite rare, i have an j spec auto tt and love it, its great for town drivin and still has a 0-60 of a round 5.7, but as word of warning dont buy the first one u see and get someone who knows about them to have a look at it

things to look for are

smokey turbos

prop shaft vibration

excessive tyre wear

idle problems

oil leaks

the list goes on, the buying guides are a must read tbh

happy hunting

thanks for your help.. i do want a manual with all the extras like leather and so on....

dont mine how long i got to wait because i want to get a good one.

i looked at one today it was nice but a few marks on it i know i got a long search in front of me.... cheers

Keep tryin the auto trader website daily on a national search

this is the only way m8 it does work as i sold my last car to someone in a different region in about half an-hour after their site was updated.

i had to get a uk one though as insurance on a jap is a no-no for me (£2000)

got a UK one insured for £695 (makes more sense)

take all the advise you can off these lads though (i'm only a newbi) :D
