Help on what is needed when replacing the standard spoiler

Hi,

I went down to Southampton to have a peek at my Zed just before I pick it up on Saturday and found that I am gonna need a new rear spoiler as the standard one is all cracked as I know they are prone to do with age.

I have looked at the spoliers on the Zcentre website and have decidedf to go for one of those Supra style ones. What I would like to know is what else is needed apart from the spolier. I know I will need the perspex cover along the back but do I also need the tailgate skin to cover the mess along the top of the bootlid?

Also any idea how much the total project usually costs including fitting and spraying

Thanks,

Justin

tailgate skin by itself.

or perspex lens and you will have to fill a few screw holes that are left.

Would there not still be bad marks on the paintwork though where the spoiler was even if the holes are filled in?

There was a fairly good link uo not so long ago for removing the rear spoiler, with pics. Cant find it though. Im removing my spoiler pretty soon too, so if someone can find it that would be just lovely. :)

Ah... Good work!

I think I paid £250 for the work, he welded in all the holes left from the old spoiler after stripping down the whole area, resprayed etc. I used the perspex cover thingy and my spoiler is the supra style one from Z Centre,

Geoff.

What is a tailgate skin exactly, and what does it cover? How far forward does it extend?

Is my car likely to leave the road at high speed without a spoiler?
