I've got 3 Zed'S and they wont stop going O.K. Checked the PTU,throttle bodies, temp sensor and T.P.S. and they are all O.K. What can I do to break them?

Also I don't get any white, blue or black smoke on start-up or boost. Are my turbo's O.K?.

Not changing the oil may help.

 

I suggest a change every 10,000 to 15,000 miles using Kwik Save No thrills BBQ oil.

 

Steam cleaning the engine area may help. I have heard some good results about that.

 

Failing that, sand in the oil will do it ;)

 

 

Nice to hear there are good Zs about. My Z has done 170,000 miles and I am about rebuild her and the worse thing I wrong with her has been a dirly PTU. I will be extremely happy with another 170,000 miles out of her.

i dont know about sand, ive heard sugar in the petrol is always a good way to make it run better, or ive heard that if you want to keep you engine warm over them cold winter nights wrap it up in a nice wool blanket but please remember to leave it on when driving :D

Is there not some recommended "fannying about with your car when you shouldn't manual" that would result in the some of the Zed messes that are going about.

Convert them from manual to auto? ;)

Oh, and if ya WANNA break them, just lend them to me for 5 minutes. I'll stop at any given set of traffic lights, and you can just watch all the myopic tossers smash into the abck of me!!:(

Sorry Emero, it's MOT time for me 1 a month Jan ,Feb and March so not got a 'spare', thinks! maybe I should have waited till April before posting, oh well fingers crossed.

BTW are any of them shabby looking white ones? And if they are where exactly do you live? One morning you may find all your dreams have come true when you come to start the white one on one morning, smoke, PTU, throttle bodies ALL will be shagged!! :D

4 rear balljoints, 2 front discs, 2 rear discs and one emissions fail(sorted by disconnecting the fuel damper vacuum hose) . All up and running now, although the heater matrix has packed in on one of them, who cares summers coming.

Easy, post on here about how well there going, shoould all be fooked in about a week!
