I've heared that on the jap-spec cars there is a warning alarm when you go over a certain speed - is this correct? Is it the same as the tone you hear when you leave the headlighs on? Reason I ask - I haven't got that on my car, but recently, especially when I rag the car a bit when it's wet, it starts to beep at me with the headlight warning tone (at between 30 and 60 mph). It's intermittent (once a week if that), and only beeps for about 10 seconds each time. Is this the speed warning tone? If so, I'll disconnect it. Any ideas guys?
Also, the car's a `90 jap spec - it has a warning beep on the reverse gear too (different tone to the one outlined above) Is that standard?
