Help I really need some one to change the heater matrix for me.

I just dont have the time or the space to do it my self.

Does any one know where I can get this done, I'm getting fed up with wet carpets and an on off heater?

I live in north London but will travell to get the job done..

The car is Automatic and N/A. I am told that this is the easyest one to do!!

Thanks guy's

Hi Chris,

You have a PM mate.

Why would a NA be easier than a TT?

Vijay

cos there is loads more room in the engine bay of an NA if you need to get to the pipes etc :)

When you say wet carpets, I presume you mean coolant from the actual matrix leaking onto the footwell area. You can do a simple bypass to stop this. (if you think it might be a couple of weeks till you replace the matrix)

Let me know if you want details or pics.

Thanks James,

I have the bypass in place (it also look's a little better than your Super Mario plumbing job) but with no heating or demister it's hard work.

Its time to sort it out, might have to go to Jeff but he's a good distance from me..

Never mind if it get's the job done....

Chris..

That plumbing job was done by SE! It was crude but it worked.

New matrix in now...........aahhhhhh..........heat, warmth!!! :p

Don't rub it in

This is a daly driver and the weather is $h1t.

I would like to get it done by the 24th, dont wont to drive all the way to Coventry with no heat. I would look like a brass monky

Chris..

just a suggestion but for the short term why not buy one of those car heaters you plug into the cig lighter socket?

Vijay

Thats the first thing I did Vijay but it was useless! Went for the most powerful one I could find too!

Lighting a candle would've been better I think.

You never know though, perhaps I just got a particular sh1t one.

Chrissy, just done mine (with help) and it makes a nice change to be sat in a warm car mate, well worth the work. Yours being an auto will be easier, you know you want to :)

First thing I did aswell but mine sort off went bang after 6 mins , then used hot water bottle for a while in the end just fitted a new matrix , Chrissy on an Auto its certainly much easier , how technically minded are you ??? If you want to have a go mate , will be happy to give you a hand if you get stuck Ryan

Baggins, you glutton for punishment.lol.

Chrissy, I would offer to help but I know you want it done by the RR day and I am off to egypt on Thursday, if you do it after then I will come and watch Baggins do it :)
