Looking at a 97 black, twin turbo, swb (coupe), version S manual with 11,000m on the clock totally standard. Has anybody got any idea of a good price for this particular model? Havnt seen one before in version S guise, is this worth snapping up?

Any input would be great help.

You are better off asking a good importer that question.

Try JapCity.com. Tell them what you want and all they can do is watch out at the acutions for you and bid on your behalf.

I really doubt you will find a Z in this country that young.

I must warn you that there are not many Zs that young in the world and all will be Japanese. So you are trying to find a year of Z which didnt have many sold, and a particular model.

Also the way the TAX/MOT system in Japan works, 6 year old cars are really when they start to come into this country. So you are hoping that there is some one willing to part with their Z too.

But like I suggested get intouch with JapCity.com and see what they say.

If you do get one, you must show it off to us. We will be all very jealous. :D

The cars priced at £13,750, but there a few k more than that on quality imports website. This price would have been a steel a while back, but its a private sale and with recent prices is this a reasonable price? Are prices settling at all as they become rarer as i dont want to loose a fortune over night.

It is hard to say.

The prices have been coming down as more and more are imported into the country. I really doubt there are more than a hand full of 97+ spec in this country. They are rare cars, and more and more are going through crashes and scrap.

I think Zs have reached the bottom price. You can get them for £2000, but they are really bad conditioned ones while the good conditioned ones of the same age are going for £5000-£6000.

Give it a year or 2 and the price will start to go up as the old import modles start to dry up. Its the Japanese import market which has caused the price to plumit, but its probably the reason why I can afford one at the moment so I cant say too much.

As a price guide, there was a 1999 spec Z 2 seater, TT hard top for sale about 2-3 years ago and it was going for £19,995. It had 600 miles on the clock too.

One other thing, Talking to the owner the car was imported as new with between delivery and 1000m on the clock possibly by nissan them selves or so the story goes. I guess it must have been a demo car or the original jap owner ran out of funds. If theres paperwork to help colaberate the mileage and seems genuine, does it sound like the one to go for with a little hagglig. I think its still wearing some tired original factory boots!!(Dunlops i think, a Nissan favorite?)

I realy doubt it is availible, its was well over a year ago.

Was the best looking Z I have seen. The engine hadn't even been worn in.

Why is Google so bad now?

It used to be great at searching but now the first 20 results of anything are shopping directories with links to other sites.

There was one importer who where really expensive because they only imported the really good ones. I never saw a Z on there for less than £6500, but I cant find it now. I cant find any of them.

Stuart

wasnt someone like warrender was it?
