I've had the Z two days now! Yeah did the right thing! But....lost the posts about the guy that makes up targa covers. Any body help?

Secondly, everything seems fine, but the boost gauge just sits in the middle. General 'go' says the car is good, but any clues on what to look for to fix this?

cheers

Targa bags are made throgh SMW1, he's redesigning his site at the moment so I don't think the pictures are working.

Boost gauge could be anumber of things from the gauge not working (does it move at all?) or the vacuum pipe going to the sender being blocked off. If it does move around a bit it may be faulty or you could have a big vacuum leak - chances you'd know about this as the car would be quite lumpy.

Thanks for that. The boost gauge just sits at zero (in the middle) and doesnt respond at all. The car runs fine; not lumpy!

The vaccum line that connectos the boost gauge up has been disconnected or the gauge is broken.

Check the pipes feeding off from the drivers side of the balance bar. This is where your stock boost gauge is connected.

Check the hose in the red circle (you will not have the hoses in the green circle unless you have an after market boost gauge and boost controller).

[Hi Stuart, finally got round to checking the vacuum pipes as per your advice; couldnt see anything wrong there. I have to assume that the gauge doesnt work...Any suggestions ?

thanks

ed

could be a blocked pipe, i had that with mine, follow the pipe back from the balence bar and you will come to a funny metal T mine was blocked there or it could also be the little black box there too!

Still having trouble tracing where the pipes go>? Cant detect any obvious leaks! Help still needed!

Oh Stuart, thanks for the covers. Great!
