I'm in the middle of fitting my carbon kit & I need to get the alarm light & little button out to fit the next bit. Does anyone know what to do here. I'll probably relocate them but I daren't disconect them to get them out.

Cheers anyone :)

They are held in place with double sided tape, so you should just beable to ease them away.

I hope this helps, if not get back to me.

Cheers oneday, but what I actually meant was that the light & the buttons have to come off the wires because they will not fit through the holes which they sit in

The 2 wires connecter to the LED are approx 6in long, on the ends are male and female bullet connectors.

You may need to remove the centre console depending on how tight the wires are.

lloks like you also have a black jack button there as well, so I'm guess in the alarm is a clifford concept 600 or AG4.

The black jack is also 2 wires.

Disconnect the battery, remove the center consol, trace the wires back to the connectors, if you can't find them then cut the wires and remove the switches, fit the carbon fiber then drill holes for the switch and led from under the consol so you match the wholes exactly, then fit the switch and led back in place, use bullect connectors to connect the wires back up, re connect the battery and check to see if all works ok.

I had to do the same with mine.

Cheers Stu, I was only worried about whether the alarm would work if I cut any wires. But now as you've mentioned it, if the battery's disconected when the job is done then the alarm shouldn't be affected.

Cheers mate.

:)

That other switch is the overide/programming button. It is standard on all Concept G4 systems.

It is also used on any of the systems with Blackjax to switch it off, so has dual function.

You are right about it having 2 wires though, same as the led, about 6in long.
