hi every one I do my best to describe this!

upon braking quite hard I can hesar and feel a knock, then when I pull away it knocks agian, ive just done the tension rods so carn't be that, just been undercar with wheels in the air and I carn't see anything worn , but the anti roll bar links do feel really slack , (loads of movement in the ball joints)

the suspension does knock when I go over bumps.

could it be the anti roll bar links that cause this knocking and cluncking when braking?

many thanks mates for any advice.

JIM.

I had this in my Supra and it turned out to be the anti-roll bar bushes.

Just because you've just done the tie bars doesn't mean its them - in fact if anything it points straight at them!!!

You haven't got the bolts tight enough where they bolt to the lower wishbone thats all. Easily done (just about everyone does it LOL). Just get back under the car and get a long wrench onto the tie bar nuts - get them as tight as possible and noise gone...

cheers lads It was the the tension rod bolts! , the passenger side bolts had worked their way to finger tight!

all done!

Jim;) ;)

Jim,

Might be an idea to reckeck them after a week or two just to make sure ;) I think the bolts maybe of a locking type (where the back of the nut is slightly crimped) and should possibly be replaced each time - I'll check it out next time I do some rods... :)
