Got the gearbox off this afternoon. Hardest part was dragging the bloody thing out from under the car! I had to get it off the transmission jack under the car, then drag it out the side with millimetres to spare.

So exhaust, propshaft, gearbox and plenum are now all off (plenum was removed before I decided I was pulling the engine). I'm ordering an engine stand this week and pulling the engine next weekend. The front of the engine is stripped back to the timing belt.

As far as I can work out, there's very little else to do before lifting it:

Remove the air con compressor and tie it out of the way.

Remove the PAS pump.

Remove the heater hoses.

Remove the inlet pipe to the turbos.

Remove the oil cooler pipes.

Disconnect the remaining couple of connectors (detonation, etc) when the engine comes up.

Anyone think of anything I've missed?
