Any advice will be gratefully received

cheers

How old are you? Will the Z be your only car?

(or try a "search". All the info you need will be there)

Mods - could we have a "Zed friendly Insurance Co's" thread & make it sticky?? this gets asked soooooooo often.

anyway, ill start ;)

got mine from Insurance Factory (online), tho Tesco insurance was quite competitive too.

mines a UK, but whan i enquired when i was 1st looking, both would insure imports, Ins Factory dont (didnt) charge any extra for it being an import either.

HTH :)

Old enough to know better! (53) !!!

The Z won't be the only car, but I've managed to have full NCB on two policies

Ok, your best bet will be to put the Z on a classic car policy.

I am with Norton, 31 years old, have 2nd car and a garage for Z and pay £250 with limited mileage and a few mods. JAP TT AUTO.

Insurance Factory will do you a good deal. Have been with them for two years now and do not pay extra for being a Jap-spec Z, mods which affect bhp will put the premium up by an estimated 15% (over stock). Beware that you must declare any modifications as failure to do so may invalidate your policy and cause them not to pay out in case the worse happens!

HTH.

Sounds good,

btw what is 2+2?

Are most of the uk turbo cars 2+2? does that mean 2 tiny back seats?

What is the handling like in the dry? My mr2 turbo in the wet its undrivable and so twitchy I nearly spun round flooring it in 3rd gear at sixty mph on a str8 road when it was really bad once :(

0-60 times dont really bother me much anyways, coz all the races I have ever had are on duel carriageways and the likes, and they are usually 30-100mph ish? so a car good through those sort of speeds is what I want !

Cheers,

Jon.

oops I dont think my last post got through so here I go again??...

Yeah it all sounds good, but are most uk turbos 2+2 and does this mean they have 2 tiny back seats?

Also what do they handle like in the dry, I know in the wet they wud be useless like my mr2 is lethal.

0-60 times dont bother me anywayz as all my races have been on dual carriageway type roads and usually are from 30-100 ish mph. So a car good through these speeeds is what Im after really!

cheers,

Jon.

ALL UK's are 2+2 and yes, that means it has little back seats. Kinda like baby seats but moulded into the back. If your mates are desperate for a lift, they will squeeze in but would be uncomfortable after 10 minutes!

I think it handles pretty well but don't forget it is quite a big, heavy car. Of course they are handlng mods you can do. Its not like an Evo or Scooby in that respect on the twisties.

30-100 the Z is awesome.
