J-spec front fog lights on UK car help?

Hi all

I'd like to fit the jap (or usa) spec front fogs to my uk car.

The indicators/sidelight bit is not a problem, but are the fogs easy to wire in?

Are there already wires fitted, or will I have to run them from somewhere. Obvoiusly I will need to fit a switch on the dash.

Has anyone done this? If so any tips?

Thanks

Richard:)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Richard,

This has already been done on mine but the lights haven't been wired in yet...

I'd say you'd have to wire them in completely as the originals don't have any front fog connections..

I'm looking at doing this early Jan. If you get round to it before me, let me know how you get on...

All the best.. Merry Xmas

fairly simple to do if youre ok with car electrics.

there is no existing wiring for front fogs.

you will need to fit a switch in the dash, a relay, & run the wiring to the lamps.

you will also need to modify the indicator wiring, as on a uk car the sidelight & indicator are in the same unit & share a wiring connector, whereas the jap car share the foglamp & sidelight with a seperate connector for the indicator.

Hi All

Thanks for advice.

I shouldn't have to mod the indicators, Paul since I was intending to buy US spec clear (maybe crystal-type, if they don't look cr@p) corners. They have indicators & side lights together too.
