Engine Ser. No.

Where the hell is the engine serial number -- The online manual shows it on the back drivers side of the engine but I cant see it there. Is it really there ? the picture shows an N/A engine is it differant for a Jap TT ?. If not then how the F*^k are you sposed to read it ?

Any help appreciated as I have 3 days to get this car registered before Christmas else I will have to do my christmas visiting in a Vitara :( .

I think you just register it on the chasis number, ive had 2 import zeds, neither of which have shown the engine number on the log book, just the chasis no.

Good luck

The serial no. is where it's shown on the drawing ,it's difficult but possible to read it. If you squint down the back of the engine you should be able to see the location , it's on a flat machined surface. In order to read it you'll need to clean it with abrasive paper and WD40, it's just possible to get your hand to it to clean it.

Don't know if it's absolutely neccessary to put the engine no. on the registration form but it does ask for it even although it's not reproduced on the reg document.
