does anyone know of any good 300 mechanics in the North West London area? I'm kinda getting fed up with changing Nissan garages. I had one that the guy in charge was the one who worked on the car, but he left and basically I did not have any confidence in the garage after that.

Cheers!

One piece of advice - keep away from the Mark Kass chain of dealers!! A complete rip off and crap work. If you find somewhere good, make sure you let me know.

try SE THEY HAVE LOOKED AFTER MY CAR FOR THE LAST 4 YEARS NEVER HAD A PROB 01621 858856

ASK FOR PETE

Yeah give SE a shout they look after mine

as well. No complaints over the past two years and their work is good, just wish I had a cheaper hobby.

Their near Maldon, the full address is in the contacts and links section.

So, has anyone ever spoken to someone at SE that isn't rude?

I give up with that lot.

Yeah quite frequently over the past two years

with no problems at all with their work or

their attitude.

Jez,

Who do you use instead of SE? I am interested as I am keen to find someone closer to me in Hants who can look after my import TT and bear with my lack of technical knowledge on the car! Who have you been using as most people on this forum recommend SE.

ok i know im not aloud to bad mouth them and i wont but personally i had a very bad experience with SE and would not send a nissan micra there.

plus they dont understand customer service.

i am also looking for soemone in the london area and i just about giving up

I have all of my work done privately or do it myself. Many performance places appear to ignore detonation & the correct fuelling, wind back the timing too much or take incorrect big short cuts (that's my personal view). I've heard/seen some really crap work done by top money places, but I'm sure they are not all like that.

Actually I lie slightly, I took my car to a Nissan dealer (Ancaster Nissan) where they have one specialist that really does know his stuff. They did a job that was too big for private work and was very pleased. But not cheap and probably wont fit any specialist mods because Nissan probably can't guarantee it.

I know of two people that do private 300ZX work, one near Heathrow and the other near Gillingham. If you were to email me I'll ask them. But, remember it's more risky going private as far as Insurance if it goes wrong, no loan car, no stamped book.

It's up to you.

ps. For those of you that think I'm trying to in-directly refer to Silvia that's not the case, Tourque Developments are crap too!

Should I put some sort of disclaimer on here.... !!! Okay, none of this is true.

lol yes i agree wiht everything else you said lol

SE +TD (DISCALIAMER THESE LETTERS ARE NOT PART OF THE 300ZX NAME)

ILL MAIL YOU JEZ IM INTERESTED IN THE GUY NEAR HEATHROW.

I took my Z to SE once and I would never take it there again. I will not post details on this forum. Email me for them.

Check out Options Motorsport in Silverstone. They have an excelent writeup in this months Banzai mag. They are a Japanese motor performance co from japan who have set up in the UK and its run by a team of japenese guys!
