The Apexi is billed as maintenance free but does it need some cleaning? If so, what is the best way?

Cheers,

I wouldnt.

A'PEXi is a dry filter and does not have any oil in it.

I am sure the instructions on mine said rinse it out with water. Not a powerful hosepipe though.

Make sure it is totally dry before you put it back on.

Cheers chaps.

Yes, I can confirm that the Apexi filters are of the "dry" variety and can be cleaned as Stuart suggests - just use water and let it dry thoroughly before putting it back onto the MAF. Do not use the spray cleaners/oil as sold by Halfords and Daemon Tweeks as this will render the filter element useless.
