Does anyone know where I can buy a pair of these, and how much they might be?

Cheers

only if its burnt internally, if the oil is pumped straight into the exhaust via the turbo on the exhaust side, then it could be black/grey also

iv actually seen one so bad that the oil was just running out the tailpipe!!

How did you fix it Jon?

Replaced the PCV's/hoses and put in 15w-60 Agip synthetic. Still smokes occasionally though so at some stage will have to replace the turbos.

Does your smoke have an oily acrid smell?

It is definately acrid. I wouldn't say oily though. It now seems to be only the left-hand pipe. I took it to Swindon yesterday but the smoke's still billowing out. There's also a bit coming up through the engine bay on that side....

charles your right! if it's grey then you've got a over fueling prob somewhere? maybe lamda sensors or some thing like that, I don't really know to much about over fueling mate.

Jim;)

I had a chip upgrade from Zed-world about 6 months ago but it's been fine since then. Would the release in back-pressure make such a difference in the fueling? Also, it seems unlikely that the seals broke while it was still on the fitting ramp don't you think?...but then there's more smoke coming up through the engine now...aaah! :(

Tricky one mate! With the acrid smell though, it does sound like oil related smoke. :(

Hope you find the cause of the problem.

Well it's in the garage for a while now - will let you know what it was after xmas!

Cheers;)

Just a thought, could the smoke coming from the engine bay be a small leak from one of the turbo oil feed pipes? The oil may be dropping onto the down pipe.

Anything's possible! I'll ask then to check that out too. Something tells me it's going to be an expensive Christmas! :slap:

I got the dredded smoke on my 200 when I had a stainless done at Powerflow. Put a one way valve in the breather system & it compensated somehow for the lack of back pressure that lets the seals leak. Can't remember the explanation exactly but it seems to be common on the 200s. Go on SXOC & you'll find out, they talk about it all the time.

Thanks for that snurdf,

I'll give the garage a call on Monday and ask them to look into it. Fingers crossed!

The one way valve I used was the non return valve from a servo pipe off a Rover I think. Don't know if this is possible on a Z
