Remove the injector caps BUT DO NOT try and remove the injectors by pulling them out of the fuel rail. You will end up breaking the injector housing and risking damage to the fuel rail. Remove the fuel rail and then push the injectors out from the bottom;)

Its best to re-install the fuel rail then install the injectors. Lightly coat the “O” rings with motor oil before installing.

But how do you keep the plastic end cap from breaking, if you push from the bottom?

Mark,i take it that the fuel rail is all seperated etc, with just injectors to come out,if so i cant see how they will break, mind you i am knackerd so not quite with it:confused:

There is a plastic cap on the end of the injector it is the only viable thing to push it with!!

Just had an answer from TTNet, apparently you put a pen cap over the end and push it with that!!!

Nice one:D ,me got serious toothache, doin me head in tonight:(

Without breaking them??

Carefully. ;)

put a socket that's just large enough to fit over the plastic cap and you can use a wrench or something similar to press it out without damaging the cap.

You can also use a hammer to get it out.

Hint: make sure you have something soft (like a towel) under the rail, so when the injector falls out it isn't damaged.
