I really think thats a bad idea especially on a Z. I was gunna put one in my rover turbo but i was disgusted at the amount of hose used, and just didnt bother.

On a z it would be even worse as ud have to use a t-piece between the pipes and its hard to get wires through the firewall, let alone a pair ~15mm tubing.

In my opinion either get mig tips (i still wouldnt but what the hey), an elec controller or just disconnect the actuators and be done with it.

but dont you need to run pipes through for

a boost gauge anyway ??

steve

so as any one used one on a 300?

steve

somebody else must have experience with these

help.

Ok ok look at it another way then. You can't afford an electronic boost controller.... so how can you afford to replce the engine when it blows up because you haven't listened to people on here who say you shouldn't fit a manual one... DO THE JOB PROPERLY - these cars are f##kin expensive to fix when they break....

Do you have an aftermarket chip? Do you have an aftermarket boost guage to check you're not boosting too high? Do you have an uprated clutch if its a manual, or an uprated auto cooler if its auto? These all need to be taken care of BEFORE raising the boost...

Sorry to sound harsh but it really is that simple - don't do the job properly and you'll blow your engine into the middle of next week...

Totally agree Andy,

Boost jets are crap really and vary massively from car to car and theres no overboost protection like you get from a controller.

I've fitted quite a few boost upgrades and every single manual car has started slipping the clutch within a couple of weeks

My auto box lasted about a year after I upped the boost without an uprated cooler. Next time... LOL

Chris.

thanks for the advise

ive had the auto coller done

and cheaked the boost with a after market gauge

i do listen to people who no what there talking about

so i am talking to the girlfreind nicely about electronic boost controller, for christmas.

i just wounder if a manual one would do the same job.

thanks for the advise once again
