Just had a little trip home to Scotland (six hours each way, good going, nasty infrared cameras on the M6 tho) to pick up my new car. Got shot of the S70 Volvo (2.5, 20v auto) I had as an everyday car and picked up a Mitsubishi Galant (2.5, V6, 24v, manual).

Now I thought the zed was juicy, and even the volvo was no stranger to the local Shell garage, but the mitsi is evil.lol. Though it is very brisk considering what it is.

My dad as the Galant 2.5 but the auto. On a long run, the Z does better MPG than the Galant.

My old man has a Galant too 2.0 v6 24v Auto, quite quick but juicy and bigest load of shit we had for a long time. Great when its working, but always seams to need something, it was called back from the factory for some defected suspension part, not all the doors lock with the central locking, paints started to peel of in places, etc, etc, and now its the water pump, I wouldn't mind if we used it a lot but he's 75years old and does 80miles a month if that and its a K reg.

Probably is. (sigh)

My boss has an Evo VI and does only 150 miles to a tank on a pewny 300+ bhp motor. Best bit is, I wind him up about my Zed making 380+ bhp and still doing 20+ to the gallon.

Mind you he goes the same speed round corners as I do on the straits.

But the zed looks a lot nicer

my old tampax car wrx

did 150 miles to a tank £33

An NA Zed and a Galant! Same here! although mine is just the 2.0 GLS. I really like mine and have thought about getting a V6 to replace it. Not sure I could justify two thirsty cars though! Hope you enjoy it anyway!

David

I went out to buy a nice little economical car, to use alongside my NA, but I just couldn't do it. I use £60 in petrol in four days and I don't know how much longer I can keep it up. About £250 or so a month in petrol. Gulp. I run the car and pay half the mortgage. and that's it!!
