Got home tonight to find that the downstairs Cable and broadband is not working :(.

Phoned them up and ddid all the usual stuff, i.e. reset's and new signal sendings etc. But I still have zero channels and no internet (I'm using the missus PC upstairs, which works fine on the other set top box).

NTL want to send an engineer out but the earliest they can send it is next mondday FFS, so I'm not very happy.

So I won't catch any of you guys on MSN and I doubt I'll be on here much either (funny enough I'm very busy at work at the moment).

Don't know where you are Stu, but I've had the same problem from last Fri to earlier today. Might be looking for alternatives if this goes on!!:( :(

I'm in Hemel Hempstead (Junc 8 M1).

Simon.

I think they're all as bad as each other, I went with BTL after hearing all sorts of stories about BT, AOL, Tiscali,......

They're all crap, rushing to get us all signed up before they have the infrastructure to support that many users.

Still overpriced too if you ask me!

nthell more like -

sometimes i go through stages where when i start up my computer it is 50/50 whether i am going to have internet access

surely it cant be that difficult

Regards,

Must say Blueyonder down here in the south east is fantastic. They had a few teething problems last year. I would recommend them to anybody....

NTL replaced my box 5 times before they finally realised the fault wasn't in the house but at the cabinet down the road!

I told them it couldn't be the box after the second visit!

They did eventually get it sorted but I still had to reboot the thing every couple of days.

Their customer service line is terrible too.

It's only open up to 8pm weekdays and nothing at the weekend.

When do you watch TV most? Probably after about 7pm and at the weekend FFS!

I had 3 weekends without TV.

well we use aohell on broadband and as yet have had no probs with it Looking on the bright side 3 weekends without tv good excuse to go for a good blast in TT ( if it wasn`t broke )

be grateful you get adsl i can't get it where I live because the line is crap and I'm also too far from the bt exchange and BT may think about upgrading it... eventually,

I only found out when I tried to test the line.... typical,

bloody hopeless way of going about it

it's great if the infastructure is actually in place first.

NTL are fookin tossers.

Have tried twice now to have BB and digital tv installed and on both occasions they didn't turn up. Both arrangements meant time off work etc.............****s.

You just reminded me.

When I cancelled NTL to move house they arranged to come collect the set top box.

I waited in 2 saturdays between 10 and 2pm for them and they never turned up or called as they said they would.

If they ring again I'm telling them i'm keeping the box!

NTL are a bunch of useless a***holes.

The to55ers kept bombarding me with leaflets about how great their service was so I bit the bullet and rang them with a view to subscribing.

Everything was booked for the installation but when the guys arrived it turned out that my road was not in their supply area.

The morons still send me junk mail to this day and guess what, I'm still not in their supply area:rofl:

Richard;)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
