How do i stop my ****ing brakes from squeaking,i've taken out the pads,sanded them down applied copper paste.

 

Any other ideas????

are they standard??

 

cured mine by putting the shims, which someone had taken out, back in!

Funnily enough, mine are silent when cold, but once warmed up, squeek like a bas***d!!! no shims missing, calipers in good order and nearly new pads.

 

I had this on my last car, an Audi, could never stop it, I think some brake pads just squeek and you have to live with it!!

have your pads got a leading edge shamfer on them, if not..file one on em and give it a try

What make are the pads?

Ive found some cheap ones squeak more.

Also , are the discs ok or a bit thin?
