Hello,

After not using the 300 for two days, last night i let it warm up to normal operating temp (half way on temp gauge) and turned the heaters on to 40degrees but no hot air came out.

Any ideas what could be the cause of this?? Or does it just need a drive to get it all sorted?

I checked the coolent but couldnt really tell if it was low as it was dark.

Please help.

Thanks

How long did you let it run for? It will take 10 or so minutes of running to start blowing 40 degree air.

It blows colder air out to let the engine warm up quicker, then when it's up to temp it diverts air to the cabin.

If the water had froze wouldnt this stop the car from running??

I let it run for about ten mins till the temp gauge reached normal temp, maybe if I take it for a run it should heat up but I didnt want to risk driving it if it was low on coolent.

Is there a site somewhere that shows how to top up/replace new coolent and is there any specific coolents that i need.

Thanks

Ant

When I change the temperature from 35 to 40 then it does not blow air from the main vents just from the wind screen ones the change is done automaticaly. If it is that what you mean then its normal. As far as temp is concerned then you should wait till its at its normal engine temp and then.

After 10 minutes it should blow hotter then Pete Shrimp on a night out down the gay bar.

You got to check your coolant level........hope its not the matrix up the chute. No coolant visible in the footwells?
