just a quick word to let people know that there is a garage in B,ham that is selling a couple of ZX`s i have recently bought one from this garage for 5`000 with a supposedly 12 mth warranty. the gearbox gave up after 28 days and when i phoned the warranty co they had no details of my policy and the garage will not effect the repairs so i have to goto trading standards if anybody wants the name of the garage email me. preferably before you part with your cash

FFS!!

How many times have I said never buy from dealers in Birmingham!!

They are ropey as hell.

And so are ones in Leeds and Nottingham.

Get onto Trading Standards and tell the garage you have done so, and also tell them you have no problems about taking them to court for selling your a false warranty (don't take the excuse of the sales rep from there hasn't picked the books up yet) which was part of the terms of your deal.

So they have not lived up to their side of the bargain and they have also sold you a car that is not fit for purpose, i.e. driving it!

Screw the fookers to the floor and demand your money back, if the box is shagged after 28 days I dread to think what else they have covered up.

Plus, I would spend a few quid on a garage looking over it (maybe JeffTT coming to you) to see what else is wrong making a report and sending that to trading standards and the garage.

Matty.

think i know the garage i looked at a blue one:eek: narrow escape i think. best of luck mate:mad:

Not sure why you're being coy!

Name and shame the B***ARDS!

DAFTY, i think i know the exact garage, i'm trying to get over £1000 out of them at the moment and has been going on for months. I thought i was just unlucky but i guess they are a bunch of idiots.

can u please email me a.s.a.p on matt@ljgibbsandpartners.com or add me to msn with the same address so we can talk further and find out if it's the same garage.

Urgent reply appreciated. Matt.

Dafty,

Re: our telehone conversation concerning, I have spoken with an Elders son in the community ( where the garage is located) who can hopefully get them to re-think their warranty.

Jeff @Zedworld

Hi

why can't you just place the name on the forum?

You do not have to say any derogatory things about them!

I have been in this position; the advice given to me;

Send your letter (which must be registered) to them with your problem & cost of repairs, give them a set time (2 weeks) & if they do not reply in this time, state they leave you no alternative other than to take a court order out on them.

In your letter explain you wish to settle out of court if at all possible & depending how much you are taking them to court for (say £1000) say that you are willing to settle for £800.

If it then go'es to court you have shown, persever'ance, patience, willingness, ect, ect, which only reflects you in good light.

I believe there is a max in a small claims court, & a court order is about £40.

This might not be everything but it may help a little.

Good luck

Arthur

thanks for contacting them i`ll wait and see if i can get any sense out of them :slap:

Nigel i aint named the garage on this site as if it goes to court it wont help me to slag them off publicly If ne1 wantsto know leave me your e-mail addy
