Does anybody know where these are situated? Are they easy to get to for replacing?..better still, does anyone have a picture of them in place?

Thanks kirbz,

Looks quite straight forward - I'll give it a go tomorrow.

hi people

These recirc valves should work no different to any other dump valve.....right?!!!

so i tried this yesterday. i pulled off the recirculating pipes and bunged them up. it sounded like a propper dump valve!! nothing like a goose!! only problem was after testing around my block tickover became strange... after revving hard and hearing the ppphhhhssstttt, the revs fell to to nearly stalling, then up to 2000 rpm, then back down to stalling, then back up to 2000rpm and so on untill i controlled the revs with the throttle, then it ticks over fine again untill you rev it hard again)

im confused as to why this messed my tickover up (once i placed the pipes back on the tick over was fine again)

I thought that recirculating valves were the same as the valves you would buy at your local tuning shop but standard???

ANY IDEAS ANYONE????

Recirculating valves put the air back into the system so without them you are dumping air which has been measured and therefore your mixture and idle is all wrong.

Dump valves often need adjusting and tweeks to the mapping to get the car running right after fitting.
