you like my 'tagline' huh?!?

with the induction - did you make sure you left the splashguard in place?? As well as air, they suck in water very well too, and as we all know, engines don't like water!!

I had a similar problem with mine after trying to ensure it was getting as much air as possible... doh!;)

thanks guys

what is the splash gaurd all the bits they removed were in the boot looks just like the air box.

can i easily see the splash gaurd?

steve

separate from the airbox - thin black plastic contoured 'tray' right underneath where your apexi is. There's a possibility they bent it up out of the way when putting the induction on...

It's not particularly flexible though, so you might have to remove filter to get it back down.

Rich

thanks mate ill have a look at that tomorow.

:) :)

Hi Mate I got the same problem although both my splash guards are in place. I.e. the main one and the induction one.

On hard acceleration it cuts out and then runs shit for about 10 seconds and then it picks up again.

A little tip is to put duct tape on the bottom of the induction to keep the water out. can take these off in the summer.

I have vents in my head light panel which also lets water in I can't use the duct tape trick.

you can see in this picture the induction has been removed and you should have the main splash guard which attached to the front bumper under the car and also the induction splash guard which is held on by the brackets (should be supplied with the apexi induction - blue dots).

I used to have this problem when I had a HKS mushroom filter and it was because I didn't have a splash guard. However, since having the dual filters that point up, I've never had the since.
