Engine cut out

Next question from me.........

(89 TT Auto)

When coming to a stop and then to pull away my car seems to hesitate as if it is going to stall but doesnt? Is this something that is common and easy to fix??

Oh and it did cut out once too, but started straight away with no probs.

My idle revs are:

Park - 900

All the rest 500/600

Does this seem low? and if so can I just adjust the idle speed?

Thanks

Ant:confused:

well for a start, clean out your throttle bodies & idle valve with carb cleaner, clean the terminals on the engine temp tensor & TPS with electrical cleaner & disconnect the battery for an hour to reset the ecu.

i have a similar problem, engine revs dip and rise sometimes. Its cut out a couple of times but started up fine.
