No, that is not some attempt at a sad joke, but they could well be:D

 

Now I need a small bulb for my heater control pannel. I took the blown one out on Sunday and as I was visiting Aylesbury this afternoon I went to Camden's Nissan (and Renault) dealers.

 

I put the bulb on the parts counter and said to the girl, "one of those, please" I should have known it wasn't going well when she asked "What is it?"

 

"It's a bulb:D " I replied, "A pannel bulb for a 300ZX"

 

"Oh" she answered "That's why I was confused, we are not a Nissan dealer" Not being afraid of sarcasm I replied "Then why do you have a bl00dy great Nissan sign on the front and loads of unregistered Micras and Almeras for sale. Not to mention a lovely new 350Z???:confused: "

 

"No, we're a renault dealer !!"

 

"Yes, but why the Nissan.....?"

 

Anyway, it turns out they are both but the nearest Nissan parts dept was in Oxford. What a PITA:rolleyes:

 

So Zed owners in Aylesbury area, don't go to Camdens for parts unless you want renault bits;)

lol, thats funny, the VQ engine is as Nissan as they come, no french in it. Clarkson was speaking utter crap when he said it was french.

I can well believe it - trying booking your 300zx into dan perkins in High Wycombe

 

"yes sir we are a nissan main dealer but we dont have the tools or manuals to work on a 300zx - have you tried uxbridge they are the local 300zx specialist"

If its not a micra - they dont want to know - however you local nissan 300zx specialist is supposed to be uxbridge.

 

p.s. because they are inside the M25 their labour rates are £25 more expensive
